Student Stories of Overcoming Sexual Assault & Abusive Relationships
March 26, 7–9pm in Three Top Mountain
The National Crime Victimization Survey reported that 244,000 sexual assaults occurred in 2011, and according to the CDC, 1 in 4 women will experience intimate partner violence in their lifetime.
For the second time, the ASU Women's Center and LIPS: Expressions of Female Sexuality are sponsoring a panel to share survivor stories of sexual assault and abuse. This panel came together to shed light on a topic that too many people feel should only be discussed behind closed doors.
Most likely, sexual assault or intimate partner violence has affected your friend, neighbor, classmate, sister, brother, parent, or yourself. Join us to hear survivor stories from Appalachian students and community members. Extra credit slips will be provided.
