SGA ELECTIONS

The committee needs help with advertising the event. Contact Amelia Thomas for more information about helping out. Tell your friends! Breaking the Silence will be held on March 26th.

WOMEN OF INFLUENCE

This year, Women of Influence in the student, faculty, staff, and community member categories will be nominated through the Women's Center website via a GoogleDoc. Winners will be announced through various campus newsletters and social media instead of an actual event. The Women's Center will host the winners at a coffee/snack social on a busy day in the Center so we can chat and socialize with them about their awesomeness. The form to nominate a woman of influence will go up March 7th and the deadline to submit is April 11th. If you'd like to help out with this event, contact Mary Pearce.

VAGINA MONOLOGUES ART SHOW

This year, the Center will be collaborating with Third Place Gallery off King Street to host a Sex Trafficking/One Billion Rising Art Show the first Friday of April. Art has already been donated, but if you'd like to donate a piece contact Mary Pearce. The Center will need volunteers during Art Crawl on April 3rd to serve food and wine (21+ only!) to patrons walking around the bar. The art will remain up for the month of April with the hopes that people will buy it. Proceeds will be split between the Vagina Monologues' One Billion Rising campaign and an anti-Sex Trafficking group.

SGA REPRESENTATIVE

Two Center volunteers will speak on March 15th about why they would like to be the SGA Representative for the Women's Center. Representatives speak on behalf of the Center and present new issues on campus life.

EQUALITY IN ACTION CONFERENCE

FRIDAY (3/7) is the last day to sign up for the Equality in Action Conference! Registration is $18 when you sign up with the Center. For more information, contact Ryan Horne or Maddie Majerus.

NINA'S PROJECT

One of our volunteers, Nina, is doing her fellowship on the prevention of sex trafficking and asked the Center for money to support her cause.
